Team Scotland Captain Elections

With this years Team Scotland elections drawing near I (ChrisRaff88) have been asked as SBBC chair to oversee the election process by the current Team Scotland Captain Ant Purdie (Purdindas). As such I wanted to explain the process for this year in order for transparency and make everyone aware of the deadlines etc.

For the first time the Captaincy will be voted on outside of Eurobowl. Those who are eligible to nominate and vote for a Captain has also been slightly widened to Team Scotland Alumni (must be active in the community) & Team Scotland members (auto picks as of the end of the championship, Top 3 in the extended leader board + Scottish Championship winner) as opposed to just those at the current Eurobowl.

Any Scottish coach may run for Team Scotland Captain, however they will need to be nominated by at least 2 Team Scotland members or Alumni as stated above. Each Team Scotland alumni/member may only nominate one person. Should 2 or more coaches be nominated for the position then elections will run and a vote will be called. Those eligible to vote will be contacted by me and asked if they want to participate in the process. Those that agree to participate will then be given a form to complete asking who they wish to vote for as well as their name and NAF name.

Before the vote takes place, those running for Captaincy will be asked to submit a Manifesto as well as the details of those nominating them to me, this will be shared publicly when they nominees are made public.
